Little minds and big dreams come together:
Nestled in the heart of Herongate, just 3 miles from Brentwood Town Centre and 2 miles from West Horndon Train Station, Tiddles Day Nursery unfolds a story of warmth, tranquility, and vibrant learning.
Our haven is designed to be more than just a childcare centre – it’s a haven where children flourish, develop, and revel in the joy of learning through both guided and free play. From the tender age of 6 months to the final years of Junior school, we tailor our activities to cater to all age groups, fostering a harmonious environment where every child can enjoy play together.
In our spacious and well-equipped garden, the backdrop to many of our activities, the outdoors become a canvas for exploration and interaction with nature. We believe that the open air is a source of inspiration, offering a dynamic space for growth and discovery.
Committed to the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), we meticulously follow and implement its guidelines. Monitoring your child’s progress is not just a task for us – it’s a promise. We utilise various means to communicate their development journey to you, ensuring your active involvement in your child’s growth during their time at Tiddles Day Nursery.
Understanding the significance of comfort and confidence, both for parents and children, we extend a warm invitation for you to visit us. Come and meet our dedicated staff, explore our nurturing setting, and become a part of the Tiddles story – where each chapter is a celebration of childhood and learning.

Chewy is a Border Terrier and joined Tiddles Day Nursery in 2018 as an eight week old puppy. He enjoys spending control/monitored time with the children under a no pet no play scheme. Children are educated within the setting about how to care for dogs, understanding boundaries and learning important safety knowledge on how to be around dogs inside and outside of the setting. He enjoys circle/story time and likes to play football on his own in the garden. We follow health and safety regulations and monitor hygiene within the setting when chewy enjoys the outdoor space.
